This North Wales house is set in 50 acres of wooded hillside and offers a Drawing Room with open fire, Dining Room with magnificent Oak & Slate table that seats 14 and a living flame gas fire, Library with open fire & TV, a large Chefs Kitchen with 2 oven gas-fired AGA and a Smeg stainless steel range cooker. The house was built in about 1800 by William Alexander Madocks a radical entrepeneur who built The Cob at Porthmadog as well as designign and building Tremadog as a 'Model Village'. The poet Shelley lived in the house 1812/13 and many literary figures visited.
From the 1830's the Greaves family lived at Tan-yr-allt until 1985 when it became a Steiner School for 15 years.
